Museum Branding
Brief:
Create a new brand that is contemporary and appealing and communicates with a wider audience. What makes the selected museum unique? How can you capture this in a logo and associated branding scheme?
Museums:

Identity needs to be demonstrated across a selected range of media. Things to consider:
- Not just putting the same logo design on different items
- a website landing/homepage & events/ticket booking page
- promotional material
- proposals for signage and wayfinding
- advertising and event information design
- stationary
- location-specific graphics
- posters for specific exhibitions
Research is KEY for this project. You need to know everything about your chosen museum, its subject matter, its aspirations and its audience.
Requirements:
- Research into the chosen museum and branding
- development work recording the evolution of your branding scheme
- brand guidelines
- digital representation of your scheme

The Museum of Classic Sci-fi
Logo development
I originally wanted to make a modern logo for my museum logo to fit with other museums. I then switched my plan around after looking at other sci-fi-themed things. I ended up going for a slightly Y2K theme instead.

Logo re-design
I realised after making the posters and other designs that I wanted to change the logo to make it more modern and to make it fit the museum better as a business, as well as take it a different direction than the original designs.

After feedback:
I plan to redo my logo design, which means the posters and all other advertisement designs will change. I also plan to change the brochure, as it doesn't match the rest of the brand design.

What can I do better?
After reviewing my work I have some changes I would like to make.
My plan:
- Create different poster design
- More advertising such as; Social media post, webpage, posters, mock ups.
- Social media on multiple platforms
- Add more webpage designs
- Merch advertising?
